Tired of searching for Bakugan cakes and birthday ideas!
I have searched endlessly to find anything Bakugan for my sons ninth birthday party and have come up with some of my own! To make the Dragon ball, I have decided to use Wilton's sports ball pan...this pan allows you to bake two small halves of the "sports ball. This is great! I just baked the cake and now have it in the freezer. I have decided one of the two halves will be the lower portion of the ball, and the second half will be cut in to thirds ( may adjust this). The two outside pieces will be the wings, and the inner thicker piece will be Drago's head.
I am not sure who will be more excited at this point...me or my son!!! Next I will have to decide whether to use rolled buttercream or just butter cream frosting.
And on a side note...to bring to school, he will have cupcakes with Drago's assembled from large gumdrop candies (using a similar technique as with the cake cutting!)
I truly hope someone will find this useful...I know how frustrated I was getting, and noticed many others were as well.
I will post pictures as soon as the cake is assembled!
